Global Migration, Economization, Nationalism and Language, Pandemic and Climate Change

The Twenty-First Century Guide to Educational Policy provides an up-to-date view of the many influences on educational policy in the U.S. Written for both graduate and undergraduate courses, this book describes and analyzes major issues, proposals and politics affecting U.S. education within a global context. The book discusses many issues that impact school systems and education, some obvious, some less so, including:

  • mass migration of the world’s people and the consequences for local schools
  • nationalism
  • economic goals of schooling
  • choice, private education and religion
  • the deep state and educational bureaucracy
  • climate change and the curriculum, and
  • student debt and school finance
This is a perfect textbook for teacher educators to use in a broad range of courses for pre-service teachers and graduate classes.

We have signed up with three aggregators who resell networkable e-book editions of our titles to academic libraries. These aggregators offer a variety of plans to libraries, such as simultaneous access by multiple library patrons, and access to portions of titles at a fraction of list price under what is commonly referred to as a “patron-driven demand” model.

These editions, priced at par with simultaneous hardcover editions of our titles, are not available direct from Stylus, but only from the following aggregators:

  • Ebook Library, a service of Ebooks Corporation Ltd. of Australia
  • ebrary, based in Palo Alto, a subsidiary of ProQuest
  • EBSCO / netLibrary, Alabama

as well as through the following wholesalers: The Yankee Book Peddler subsidiary of Baker & Taylor, Inc.
